Portsmouth (106-1) beat OTs & Romsey (105 all out) by nine wickets
OTs & Romsey suffered a heavy defeat away in their third SEPCL Division 2 match of the season away to Portsmouth who maintain their 100% record.
Romsey won the toss and decided to bat first. Opener Pete Newman fell for a duck but a good second wicket partnership between Charlie King and Chris Wood helped the away side get off to a good start.
However, after King fell for 14 and Hampshire star Wood for 43, Romsey struggled to add any more runs to their total. Rob Newman was the only other batsman who managed double figures as they were bowled out for just 105.
With so few runs on the board, Romsey were always going to find it difficult to secure victory. In the end, Portsmouth cruised to a nine wicket victory, with Jody Brown picking up the only wicket of the game for the visitors.
