113 run victory over Calmore
OT & Romsey under 19s gave an exemplary performance in defeating Calmore by 113 runs at Romsey Sports Centre.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss, captain Peter Newman led the charge with a splendid 51 (retired) in just 22 balls. His innings containing 6 fours and three sixes. Harry Tulk provided admirable support with a solid 42-ball 50 (retired) as the home team built a formidable 187 for the loss of 5 wickets.
Ben Johns (45) batted beautifully in an innings which included two enormous sixes into Broadlands but found no support as Calmore slumped to an all out 74 in reply.
